Pearse (P.H.) Scoil Éanna. Agenda Book 1912 (for meetings of directors). In Hely’s small quarto ledger, morocco-backed. About 15 numbered pages at front, followed by several unnumbered, including 5 pp entirely in Pearse’s hand, with about 10 pages in another hand, presumably the chairman’s. A few pages are loose. The remainder is blank. Laid in is a bank statement, June 1912, with notes in Pearse’s hand.

The damage is unfortunate, but it is possible to see what the Board was doing and considering in the latter half of 1912, including allocation of shares, ‘Brass plate for office’,  Miss Gavan Duffy’s proposal as to St. Ita’s, etc. Agenda items are generally on left hand pages, action decided on right. The agenda for 22 August 1912 (special meeting) includes ‘discussion as to the feasibility of Mr. Pearse’s re-purchasing the College from the Company’; ‘letter from Messrs. Gerrard re liquidation proposals’; ‘Report on progress of negotiations with creditors’, etc . (1)
