Greek text of Plutarch's Lives of the Noble Greek and Romans, arranged in 23 pairs (but this edition contains 49 lives). Latin dedication to Marcello Virgilio Adriani, humanist scholar and chancellor of Florence, and certificate from Pope Leo X, dated 15th Feb. 1516.
The Giunti family established themselves as printers in Florence in 1489. Filippo Giunta (1450 - 1517) set up a separate press from his brother Lucantonio; this may be the last work from his press?? (1)
