Abbey Theatre Printed Invitation Card from A.E.F. Horniman, inviting Daniel O’Connor and friend to ‘The Private View of The Abbey Theatre .. December 14th 1904, from 3 to 6 or from 8 to 10 o’clock .. tea and coffee.
It is not clear what was on view, apart from the building itself. The Theatre opened for its first performance on 27 December, with the help of a donation of £1,500 from Miss Horniman. (1)
