An important set of 6, - 18th Century giltwood Open Armchairs, in the manner of John Trotter, the shield shaped backs with floral bouquet on top, the open scroll arms with upholstered arm rests, over a tapestry covered seat (later) the frieze with central flower on front cabriole legs. (6)
Provenance: The Dukes of Leinster (The Fitzgeralds) Leinster House (Dressing Room) to Carton House, by family descent to present vendor.
