Exceptionally Fine Copy with Double Set of Plates

Rosellini (Ippolito) I Monumenti dell Egitto e Della Nubia, Plate Volumes 1, 11 & 111, 3 vols. Elephant folio Pisa 1832 to 1834. First Edition, 3 printed titles, 397 engd. full page plts., including 134 hand coloured, a.e.g., cont. full calf by Hayday, gilt fillet borders, joints weak or broken. Inscribed on verso of front loose marble end - "Presented by his Grace the Duke of Northumberland K.G.F.R.S. President R.I.,"
Together with Second Set of the above: This set, 3 vols. elephant folio Pisa 1832 - 34, is in original condition as issued, with the same compliment of plates but in original wrappers, unopened and in very clean condition.
In addition there is a complete set of the original Text Volumes, consisting of 9 vols. roy 8vo Pisa (Presso Nicolo) 1832 - 1844, uncut, original printed wrappers, bound in, recent hf. black mor., red mor. labels.

The entire now housed together in a fine mahogany custom made case, with lift up reading slope and sliding shelves.
