G.A.A. Medals: [Co. Louth], 1912. A 9ct gold Celtic Cross All-Ireland Winners Medal, the obverse with central harp and 'Eire' and 'Cumann na gcleas - Luith Gaedhealach,' the reverse inscribed 'All Ireland F'ball C'ship 1912, won by Louth," hallmarked 'H. & H. (Hopkins & Hopkins); together with the associated Leinster Winners Medal, the 9ct gold Medal of circular and pierced design, the obverse with harp design and inscribed 'Connradh Laigheen G.A.A.' the reverse inscribed "Football, 1st Div. 1912," hallmarked; also a silver shield Medal with central harp overlay and shamrock, the reverse inscribed 'G. Fitzsimmons,' hallmarked 'J.McD.' Dublin, a rare collection. (3)

Note: In the 25th staging of the championship, Louth played Antrim in the All Ireland decider in front of 13,000 spectators at Jones Road. They won the match 1-7 to 1-2, to claim their 2nd All-Ireland. Interestingly, five of the Antrim players were natives of Louth.
