Manuscript Letter. A good copy (probably 18th Century, watermarked C. Taylor) of 'an excellent letter wrote by Oliver Cromwell from an Original in the hand of the late Dr. Cook,' addressed to Deere Charles; original dated August 22nd 1653. Single folded sheet, 3pp. 'If every one instead of contendinge would justified his form by love and meekness, wisdom would be justified of her children....' As a m/ss w.a.f. Unusual. (1)
