The Curragh Camp Tri-Colour
Tricolour Flag: A Free State Tricolor Flag, machine stitched, approx. 180cms x 84cms (71"x 33"), in three panels with rope socket to one side. In very good condition.
Provenance: Col. Sean Collins Powell (nephew of Michael Collins), O/C. of the Irish Army’s Curragh Training Camp, and given by him to the family of Capt. R.J. Thompson.
Reputed to have been the first Tricolour flown at the Curragh camp.
