(2) Robert Barton, whose home was at Glendalough House, was a former British officer who fought in France. Posted to Dublin at Easter 1916, he resigned his commission and became a Sinn Fein TD. He was the final signatory to the Anglo-Irish Treaty. He was a cousin of Erskine Childers, to whom the first book here is dedicated.
