An important 18th Century Irish 'Penal' silver Chalice, c. 1754, of bulbous design with gilded interior cup with screw off top, a circular stepped base with etched cross, the underneath inscribed 'Justin McCarthy, Armiger me Fieri Fecit Anno 1754," approx. 10 1/2 ounces, 21 cms high. (1)
Provenance: The Ursuline Convent, Waterford.
