The English Bible Controversy:  A bound Volume containing various items concerning the controversy over the printing of the Bible, cloth 4to volume containing the following:

(1)  The Book of Genesis, an exact reprint page for page of the Authorised Version published in the year MDCXI.  Oxford University Press, 1832.

(2)  Thomas Curtis, Interleaved pages.  The existing monopoly, an inadequate protection of the Authorised Version of Scripture.  Four letters to … the Bishop of London.  London, 1833.

(3)  Letter from Dean Gaisford to the Rev. Dr Tournay, Peterborough, 12 August 1831, re Curtis’s charge of errors in the printing of recent editions of the Bible (on which the university presses of Oxford and Cambridge held the monopoly), and re the archbishops’ proposed ecclesiastical commission on the Bible.  “In other times I should have advised that no notice should be taken of such a farrago of cant and sophistry.  We must however now deal with it otherwise, and I shall be glad of an opportunity of sifting the matter to the bottom when we meet …”
