The Noel Ross Postcard Collection of County Louth

Postcards:  This extensive and comprehensive Collection of over 2300 Postcards, contained in five large folio Albums was assembled over a long period of time by the late Noel Ross, of Dundalk, well-known historian and collector, and formerly Secretary of the Louth Historical and Archaeological Society, to mention just one of his rolls in the life of his native Dundalk, and the greater Co. Louth area.
The Collection covers all of County Louth, towns, villages, etc., including Annagassan, Ardee, An Grianan, Blackrock, Balrath, Carlingford, Castlebellingham, Carrickarnon, Collon, Clogher Head, Dundalk, Drogheda, Dunleer, Dromcar, Dromiskin, Ballymacscanlon, Faughart, Greenore, Louth, Mellifont, Monasterboise, Omeath, Oriel Temple, Rathescar, Ravensdale, Smarmore, Termonfeckin, Warrenpoint, to mention just a few.
The Subject Matter is equally as diverse, military interests, various barracks, local shows and events, street markets, railways and other transport, shipping, scenes of industry, sporting events, golf links, team photos., good school groups, advertising cards, shop fronts etc., pull-out view cards, letter cards, novelty cards, comic cards by Tempest, Mabel Lucie Attwell, & others, & including a large collection of real photographs.
