A very unusual Regency period leather bound ladies Sewing Casket, with brass mounts, the hinged top opening to reveal a fitted interior for sewing implements, spools and other relating items, above a drawer with pull-out lap desk with fold-out writing surface crossbanded in kingwood, brass lion mask and ring handles to sides and raised on four brass lion paw feet, 12" (31cms).
