Rugby: The All-Blacks, 1924 -1925, [Their] Undefeated Tour of England, Wales, Ireland, France and Canada. New Zealand scored 981 points, & only conceded 180 points in total. A most detailed comprehensive and interesting Scrap Album of approx. 175pp. folio. The Album contains principally newspaper cuttings, with an abundance of photographs, printed cartoons etc., of New Zealand and the opposing teams, the entire attractively mounted. There are fine action shots, team photos., player profiles etc., with all newspapers identified in print or manuscript. In addition there is an abundance of original material tipped in, including very rare programmes, some not available elsewhere, (Chinese Universities Association Football N.Z. Tour 1924; N.Z. v. East Midlands, Dec. 6th, 1924; N.Z. v. Cardiff Nov. 24, 1924, N.Z. v. Wales, Nov. 29, 1924; Devon v. N.Z. Sept. 13th, 1924; N.Z. v. Newport; New Zealand v. Cheshire; N.Z. v. North Midlands R.U.; N.Z. v. Lancashire, played at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s famous grounds, Oct. 22nd, 1924, to mention but a few). There is material relating to All-Blacks Trip to Belfast, fixture cards, menu cards, and original correspondence. A most desirable compilation, probably unique.

Mr. Wm. Rankin was a Chief Inspector, in Auckland Town Hall, New Zealand, during the 1950’s. He was an avid follower of New Zealand Rugby, and presented this item to Dr. Karl Mullen on his departure from New Zealand with the Lions after the 1950 Tour.
