New Zealand A very unusual and attractive circular Casket or Drum, profusely inlaid with native woods, and decorated with intricate Maori designs, bound with silver rims and fittings all engraved with the New Zealand fern and stamped ‘A. Kohn, Auckland’ and with silver coat of arms of 8th (South Canterbury) Squadron Mounted Rifles, on a carved stand. The casket was originally used to hold an illuminated address, 57cms (22 1/2″).
