A good A.L.s. in Irish to Liam de Roiste of Cork, on An Chomhairle Naisuinta notepaper, dated 20-10-06, enquiring whether a group (not named) should be invited to join An Chomhairle, enclosing a letter (not present). As a m/ss., w.a.f.
* Michael O’Hanrahan (1877-1916) was born in New Ross, Co. Wexford. His father, a Fenian, had taken part in the 1867 Rising. Michael joined the Irish Volunteers and became national quarter master. In the 1916 Rising he fought in Jacob’s Factory, was court-martialled and shot on 4th May, 1916. He was also very active in the Gaelic League. His signature is very Scarce.
Liam de Roiste was an associate of Terence Mc Swiney in the Cork Literary Society, later a Volunteer and a T.D. (1)
