‘Recreative Tour to the Capital of Erins Green Isle’
Manuscript: A most interesting and detailed manuscript account of a short, 8 day journey, ‘by Land and Water a distance of nearly 600 miles,’ by an employee of the National Bank [Scotland?]. The journey by the author [A.M.C.] and his friend W., started from Scotland, Portpatrick on 18th August 1831, travelled thro Carlisle to Castledouglas, Stranraer, Donaghadee, Belfast, Newry, Dublin, Dunleary, Liverpool, Manchester and back to Scotland.’ Containing approx. 130pp in a very legible hand, with very detailed descriptions of scenery on route, and of cities and town visited.
