Album: Autograph Album inscribed Jessy S.L. Jameson from her affectionate brother J.L. Jameson, 9/30/61. Containing 90 numbered pages, with over 240 entries, cut out signatures, notes, letters etc., starting with Queen Victoria, and her prime Minister Lord Palmerston, together with many other prime ministers, statesmen, M.P.’s, generals, authors (include. some women), bishops etc., include. Lord Raglan, ill-fated commander during The Crimean War, signs ‘before Savastopol’ in 1854. There are several curiosities, such as ‘Cheng or Woo Gow the Chinese Giant,’ and Mrs. Jermy, whose husband and father-in-law were shot by a demented tenant farmer in the notorious Stanfield Hall Murders in 1848. There are also numerous Irish names. Included in no particular order are such names as Marquis Wellesley; Mountifort Longfield, economist; Agnes Strickland, author; Anthony Trollope; Chas. Foster, Speaker; E.M. Ward, Artist; Robert Peel; Chas. Babbage, and many many more. As a coll., w.a.f.
