Punished for Failure to pay Tithes, 1753
Co. Cork: A large deed on vellum, dated 31 March 1753, of Jemmett [Browne], Church of Ireland Bishop of Cork and Ross, petitioning the King that Timothy Donovan of Geary in the parish of Kilmeen, farmer who has been excommunicated for his failure to pay tithes, should be imprisoned. Signed and dated and with remains of seal, one corner torn, no loss of text. As a m/ss, w.a.f. (1)
