Mac Liammoir (Micheál) An original unpublished Manuscript short story in Irish, 5pp, entitled Cuimhne, last section in red ink, in Mac Liammoir’s early hand throughout with some corrections, possibly unfinished.
See ÓhAodha’s biography The Importance of Being Micheál, p. 40, where he says this is probably Mac Liammoir’s first attempt to write a short story, and describes it as the first attempt in Irish to deal, albeit clumsily, with sexual adolescence.
The story concerns a dying man who wakes in a hospital, formerly a boarding school, and his confused memories of a friendship with a school room-mate, who later became a priest. Ex. important. As a m/ss., w.a.f.
