(1)Provenance: The Yeats Family Collection.* The portrait of Frank Fay was commissioned by Annie Horniman for the opening of the Abbey Theatre in December 1904. Fay was a leading actor who developed the acting style at Abbey Theatre Company. His first part was that of Cuchullain in W.B. Yeats “On Baile’s Strand”.
